Study in Netherland

The Netherlands was one of the first countries in Europe to implement the Bachelor/Master system and to provide degree programs in English. This has resulted in one of the most diverse course offerings on the continent. Around 70 institutes of higher education provide a variety of Bachelor and Master’s degrees.

You may also expect a sizable foreign student population: around 112,000 students from all over the world. Around 16% of all students are international, which is one of the highest percentages in Europe.

Universities in the Netherlands are classed as either “research universities,” which provide more research-oriented academic programs, or “universities of applied sciences,” which offer more practice-oriented study programs, similar to other European nations.
